If you’re thinking about building your own solar power system, you’ve probably already discovered that finding clear, honest information isn’t always easy.

I certainly did.

When I began researching solar energy, I found thousands of websites explaining how wonderful solar power is—and just as many companies offering to sell me a complete system. What I didn’t find was someone documenting the entire process from the perspective of an ordinary homeowner who simply wanted to build his own system, save money, and understand how it all worked.

So that’s what this website is about.

This isn’t a sales pitch.

I’m not trying to convince you to buy a particular brand of solar panels, batteries, or inverters.

Instead, I’m sharing my own DIY solar journey—the good decisions, the mistakes, the unexpected surprises, and the lessons I learned along the way.
